2022 INT’L YOUTH DAY: “IT’S ALL IN THE MIND”; Nnewi South TC Boss Writes Youths

The mind is where it all begins. What we think, dream, envision, ideate, innovate and create, takes form in our minds. It is important, therefore, that we prepare the mind for what we want it to create.

The theme of this year’s international youth day, “it’s all in the mind”, captures the whole essence of what the mind does. Every thought process begins in the mind and ends with a creation.

For instance, according to the Bible in the first chapter of Genesis, God created. His supernatural mind developed thoughts and His words gave them form. So from darkness, He created light and from water, He gave us Earth.

Over the centuries, men have also created, generating ideas that birthed great innovations. There’s practically no sphere of human endeavour that has not witnessed positive changes as a result of minds that formed great ideas and gave humanity innovative creations.

On the other hand and sadly, the world continues to suffer grievously from the creations of destructive minds, some of which threaten our very existence today.

In the present digital age and a constantly changing world of people living in the social media space and dominated by data, the minds of many youths in our local areas are subjected to conflicting principles and centred around the fastest means of amassing wealth.

Driven to the wrong paths by a malfunctioning system, the resort to self-help has produced minds that can do ‘anything’ to survive. The effect of this on society, leaves much to be desired.

However, there are yet youths who studiously seek opportunities to build their minds and equip themselves with information, knowledge and skills requisite for creating a better world for themselves and others.

In Anambra State today, the Solution agenda of Mr Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, to give ndị Anambra a liveable and prosperous homeland, recognizes the importance of building the youth to build a greater State and Nation.

However, Mr Governor has constructively developed a system that will identify those youths who have built their minds to contribute positively to his vision.  Opportunity yet exists for every youth who is willing to build his or her mind to contribute effectively to the vision of a liveable and prosperous homeland.

I encourage you, therefore, youths of Nnewi-South LGA, to build your minds. Soon, my team and I will make available to you, opportunities for training, learning and mentorship in career building, business development, ICT programmes, skills acquisition, and innovative farming techniques, and provide you the necessary support, tech and otherwise, to start-up.

It’s a new dawn for the youths of Nnewi-South LGA but you must start by building your minds to ideate, innovate and create such things that will impact positively on your generation and leave indelible legacies for generations to come.

The power to drive the needed constructive changes and be part of the Solution Agenda to make Anambra State and Nnewi-South LGA, safe, liveable and prosperous is yours. It’s all in your mind.

O Youths! Build your minds to Build the State and the Nation!

Ikenna Aniagboso
Chairman, Nnewi-South LGA

  1. Can I just say what a relief to uncover an individual who really understands what theyre talking about on the web. You certainly know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people ought to read this and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that you arent more popular given that you most certainly have the gift.
