Celebrating The Contemporary Politician; The ‘Ezegamba Model’.
Birth anniversary presents humanity with an opportunity to reflect on where he has been, where he is, and where he is going to. For Hon. Barr. (Sir) Ifeanyichukwu Callistus Ezegamba , it is a moment to celebrate a man who has dedicated his life for humanity itself.
Political leaders, elites, religious leaders, community leaders, youths, students and all have continued to pay glowing tribute to a man who has distinguished himself in service of God and humanity. It is not surprising to witness such a barrage of positive compliments.
Hon Barr Ezegamba, the senior special assistant to the executive governor of Anambra State on legal matters, a knight of the Holy Catholic Church, an oracle in the temple of justice for over two decades and more, a frontline APGA chieftain, a two-time House of Assembly aspirant, a community leader, is a rare breed.
He has continued to blaze the trail in human capital development and extensive capacity building.
Sir Ezegamba’s kind of politics should be a ‘model’s for the contemporary political class. Community impact assessment of any measure cannot find him wanting.
His foundation “Sir Louis Ezegamba Memorial Foundation” has continued to lift lives. Over 27 students are benefiting from the academic endowment arm of the foundation through payment of tuition fees in different institutions of higher learning, this he did not limit to his constituents only. The aged are not left out. The foundation provided succor for a lot of families during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown which crippled numerous businesses and means of livelihood.
Through the foundation, Hon. Ezegamba has engaged many youths of his community AMICHI in many skilled and unskilled jobs, sponsoring graduands of apprentice systems in different cadres.
He has contributed immensely to the numerous establishments of ADU Youth Wing, which has in turn empowered and employed a number of youths.
A multiple award and honours recipient, board member, current, former president, and patron of countless associations, clubs and unions, it’s safe to say that that Sir Ezegamba is a born leader.
A worthy husband to Dr (Mrs) Comfort Ezegamba and a wonderful father to Williams, Emmanuella and Nelly , Barr Ezegamba is a perfect example of a contemporary fatherhood.
