FUNNYBONE: From Grass To Grace.

Stanley Chibunna Ezeimo popularly known as FUNNYBONE is a famous Nigerian stand-up comedian, master of ceremony, model, actor and a television host. He has featured in several international comedy shows both home and abroad. He was born on 28th October 1985 in Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria. He is very funny, gifted, skillful, creative and talented.

FUNNYBONE is originally from Amichi in Nnewi South local government area of Anambra State in the south eastern part of Nigeria but was born and bred in Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his primary and secondary school education in Kaduna, FUNNYBONE proceeded to University of Jos in Plateau State in the northern part of Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts.

FUNNYBONE started his career as a dancer and used to mime Julius Agwu’s songs as a music-comedian. From there, he delved into acting and later music and finally settled for comedy. While still in the university, he performed in several campus shows as a comedian and master of ceremony (MC).

FUNNYBONE rose to fame after performing at the “Night of a Thousand Laugh” a comedy show hosted by Opa Wiliams in several part of Nigeria. He is currently based in Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria.


FUNNYBONE has appeared in many Nollywood movies, and has performed in countless comedy shows both home and abroad and has also performed in several concerts, award nights, events, shows and comedy skits. He charges nothing less than N1,500,000 per show and has been described by many as one of the most gifted, most creative and most talented comedian in Nigeria.

FunnyBone hosted his first live stage individual show in 2016 named FUNNYBONE UNTAMED. The series which had its 4th consecutive edition in 2019 has been a hit back to back, selling out the arena on each occasion. 

In 2019, FUNNYBONE lost his Mother whom he has described in several interviews and shows as his “role model”. Her funeral which held in January 2020 drew men of timber and calibre from all walks of life. 

FUNNYBONE has established himself as a vibrant and hilarious comedian. He has certainly come a long way from beging to be given a microphone, being paid N100 to perform in events and shows to charging N1,500,000 to perform in events and shows in Nigeria and even charge higher amount to perform in events and shows outside Nigeria.

He has featured in many movies and comedy skit in Nigeria alongside with fellow comedian Seyi Law, Julius Agwu, AY, Bovi, Basketmouth, and countless others. He uses Igbo slangs sometimes to make his jokes more appealing to his audience and declared himself as a proud Igbo boy. He has never hidden his love for his hometown Amichi in Anambra state, having often adorned a T-shirt written “Amichi To The World”.

FUNNYBONE is not yet married, but reports reveal that he is involved in a serious relationship with an unidentified beautiful lady. Although, he keeps his personal life secret and one cannot possibly confirmed who his real girlfriend is.

FUNNYBONE in the cause of his career has won several awards which include Best Actor in Comedy 2019 at AMVCA for his unprecedented role in the movie “Smash”. He has won several other awards including Best Comedian in Nigerian at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards, Most Promising Comic Act to Watch at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best New Comedian at the Diamond Awards. The awards are so numerous to mention.

FUNNYBONE is currently one of the richest and most influential comedians in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $15,000,000.

FUNNYBONE was honored by the Youths of his town Amichi in 2017 with the title of NWATA ANA AYO EZE, because of his continuous positive impact in the society and the life of the younger generation.

FUNNYBONE is a symbol of hope to all aspiring youths, the perfect example of the “I can make it spirit”. He rose from nothing to something, and never allowed the negativities of his beginning to affect his progress. Today, people see only the positives. He has continued to mentor youths, especially upcoming comedians who are struggling to make limelight, because he knows what it means to be “there”.

For FUNNYBONE, the sky is only the starting point. The best is yet to come!
