A ridiculous piece with this title, posted by one Johnbosco Ubasie on the APGA Interactive Forum [AIF Media] Facebook group, has come to our attention.
Ordinarily, junks like this should be ignored completely or better still dumped in the thrash bin.
But much as we would not want to join issues with the peddlers of this malicious lie, it has become imperative that we issue this rebuttal.
Chisco Group is a reputable and law abiding organization with businesses spanning transportation, real estate, oil and gas, logistics etc. It employs over 3,000 workers with about 250 offices across Nigeria.
Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, the MD/CEO of Chisco Group who turned 64 recently, painstakingly built his business empire from the scratch in 1981 when he started trading with N180.00
Many may not know this, but he had a very humble beginning and suffered untold hardship until God rewarded his hardwork.
Through his vision, ingenuity and doggedness, Chief Anyaegbu built the Chisco brand and sustained it as a multi billion naira conglomerate till today.
His honesty and sincerity earned him the goodwill of businessmen and governments in Africa and across the world.
His philanthropy, which is well known in his home state, Anambra and Nigeria at large, earned him several awards and recognitions including the prestigious award as Member of the order of the Federal Republic, MFR.
It is therefore absurd and completely ridiculous to suggest or allege that a man of such impeccable character and a reputable organization as Chisco Group should engage in any illicit transaction with the Governor of any state.
To suggest that he’s a front for the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano for the purchase of a house is insulting. It is nothing but an attempt to denigrate, malign and slander Chief Anyaegbu and the Governor who is a wealthy man in his own right and can purchase a house any where he chooses.
This Johnbosco Ubasie and the administrators of the APGA Interactive Forum [AIF Media] should know that there are legal consequences for such a slanderous and libellous publication.
While we consider further action, let this serve as a warning to Johnbosco Ubasie and the administrators of AIF Media to desist from writing or publishing such nefarious and unsubstantiated allegation.
The general public should please disregard and ignore the characters and the false publication. There is no truth in them.
