RootsWatch Nat’l Merit Award: Another Milestone Recognition for Hon. Chieloka Henry Okoye and Ndi Nnewi South.

Hon. Engr. Chieloka Henry Okoye is not new nor a stranger to receiving awards or attracting recognition and commendations for his efforts in transforming the society in his own little way in public service.
His visionary leadership, astute, strategic governance and exemplary crusading exploits in public service over the years have earned him honours, recognition and commendation from different organization at the Local, State, National and International level, even his perceived political opponents aren’t left out in commendating Chieloka’s visionary leadership.
Just yesterday 22nd April 2021, Hon. Chieloka’s award shelves was added with RootsWatch National Merit Award as he emergenced ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN IN NIGERIA 2021. His sterling, superlative leadership has earned him the accolade from a very reputable organization at the Federal Capital Territory.
Those who know Hon. Chieloka very well, will easily attest that the Nnewi South LG Chairman is not one to solicit for or be easily swayed with awards, as a matter of fact, He doesn’t subscribe to receiving any kind of award where the awardees neither have reputational mettle nor established credibility in their constituency or Local Government, hence looking at the awardees, one can only imagine the level of work they have put in at their local government to earn them the Award.
There are very few Local Government Chairmen like Hon. Chieloka who walk the talk, who are passionate in public service and are not sentimental in the discharge of their duties.
Presenting the Award; The Director General of National Orientation Agency: Mr Garba Abari Eulogized Hon . Chieloka having listened to his citation and an alumni of the University of maduguri to keep the good work going, he advised LG Chairman across the federation to take a cue from Chieloka examplary Leadership.
Hon. Chieloka accepting the award was as usual, honest and candid thanked the management of RootsWatch Magazine for the honour bestowed on him and the people of Nnewi South by deeming him worthy to be conferred with an award of such deep, illuminating and profound Award out of the 774 local government across the federation, he equally thanked the Governor of Anambra State; HE Gov. Willie Obiano and wife Chief Mrs Eberechukwu Obiano for the opportunity to serve and of course Ndi Nnewi South for their strongewill and support, he promised to continue to do his best in transforming the society in his best way.
