“History will be kind to the Founder of the UDO JESUS FOUNDATION, Chief Udoka Ume-okonkwo.”
One can attest to the fact that one of the factors that propagate a person with goodwill is benevolence. Which in terms of human relation, charitable kindness, altruistic gifts, little wonder the saying that it does not matter how long one lives on earth rather what matters is the achievement he or she had instituted before going the way of all flesh and mortals.
Since his childhood, he was full of compassion who was always willing to provide help to the needy.
He is so much passionate about peoples welfare and standard of living especially the poor and downtrodden. He is a peacemaker, and master bridge builder, his dedication to serve underscores his commitment to the service to God and humanity.
Many would be amazed and overwhelmed at the same time by his philanthropic gestures.
He had rendered many assistants to his community ranging from payment of school fees, sponsorhip of medical treatments, examination fees, and youth empowerment.
Religiously, Mr Umeokonkwo have written his his name with gold. He has been on the frontline of building house of God, he has special interest on things of God, he so much believe that helping humanity is the best form of assistance hence the need to have come up with this foundation.
Are we actually cognizant of the fact that charity they say begins at home?
Hails from Uruagu village, Amichi, in August this year, town football tournament was organised by the foundation. It is one of the programs the foundation solely sponsored to meaningfully engage the youths and pick talents to harness and develop.
In days to come, another football tournament will kick off. This time, participants would be derived form all the secondary schools in Nnewi South, both public and privately owned.
All this visions wouldn’t have been possible if not God who has been on his side.
Truly, his dedication and determination to the service of God and humanity serves as an inspiration to many.
Ndi Nnewi South, we did it before now, we shall do it again by continuing rendering our humanly support to this foundation.
Such people are hard to find.
We salute his philanthropic nature.
This particular tournaments will see the winner school going home with 100,000 naira cash prize, a cup and other prizes while the first runner up will go home with 50,000 naira cash prize, the third and fourth position will go home with 30,000 and 20,000 naira respectively with consolation prize money of 10,000 naira each for all schools that participated.
This is the first of it’s kind in the history of football tournaments in Amichi and Nnewi South in a whole.
Recall that this particular uncommon philanthropist has proposed a food bank with a perch in Amichi starting from January, 2021 immediately after the formal inauguration of the Foundation. This Food Bank will take Responsibilities of feeding people for free once in a week. Yet the first of it’s kind in Amichi and it’s environs.
